We follow, first, the Scientist, the Champion. His final decision, the friction, the farewell. And then the next year and a half of his life. Adoption of an animal. Proliferation of his support and expansion of his reach. A brief trek into familiar territory, and a confirmation of tradition. Then, bedmaking with the enemy for the common good, visitation of a departed friend, reconcilliation, and the offering of the foundation of a future to one left in the lurch. And then, finally, a call from an old friend, a moment of shared passion, a commiseration over illness, and a departure with eyes to many future meetings.
