They've been summoned to New York City by a mysterious benefactor for dinner and a discussion. A monster hunt that will make them famous (or infamous) in all three realms. Each one is brought in for a different area of expertise, but will they even take the job when they hear what it is? That remains to be seen in the Most Dangerous Game: A Telltale Hunt Story.

" ...so now its the old game of 'hurry up and wait'. If our intel is good, and we have no reason to believe it's not, they'll come right through here. We'll have the element of surprise and the high ground. The attack on their base should have lessened their ability to mobilize, hopefully our numbers will be at least even. Too much to hope for a numbers advantage. However we weren't able to get much of any intel on what we'll actually be up against. I sorely hope we won't regret that. Putting a pin in it, Gameshow's indicated movement."

With Megalad becoming lost in space for a bit, he sits this one out. Meanwhile, with the revelation that Calvin Eskridge, Elaine Pelfry, and Leonard Wright are all connected to Delta Black, talking to Cassidy Calvert-Downes has become priority 1 for the team. While Zero hunts down a lead to get a meeting set up with her, Switch talks to Wesley to find out what his estranged wife is like. Sundog, meanwhile, runs into Lehmann and figures out the perfect way to get back at him.

"This may very well be the scariest thing we've done so far. At least, to me, anyway. When I'm behind the safety of Big Wheel I'm far more comfortable. Walking around without it seems... wrong, somehow. Is this how everybody feels all the time? Disgusting.
I still say we should have gone when there were less people. We've shown to be an extremely well-oiled machine, so to speak, in our mechs, I'm sure we could handle a few extra robots that the Mudkickers throw at us. Alas, I was outvoted, and so here we are. At least the show after the mission will be good, no matter what time of day it is."

Despite it being a quick trip to them, months have passed in Halcyon without the Trendsetters. Blackmoore is in a scandal, Lehmann has moved next door to Felix, and the Groundbreakers are doing well in spreading the word of their parent group. Zero finds out what has happened in its absence with the NC-12 project from Jen. Young Gary heads to the SCS and, after overhearing something he probably shouldn't have heard, is tasked with finding the months-absent Sam. Felix gets back in touch with Tiffany, and after a bit of a talk they decide to keep trying the dating thing. Switch makes sure their people are all safe, both in Lovelace and Felix, then talks to Calvert, who reveals that two things: One, a suit's worth of Vinterium has been stolen, and two, he's interested in grander things thanks to Switch's prodding.
