Stepping close to the edge once more, our beleaguered trio cross out yet more obstacles to True Victory. The First Son is given knowledge of a dead worldine, the First Regret is corrected, the mage is restored to the height of his skill, and a very wonderful scientist is saved from a grisly fate and given a place to stay. But a question as to the fate of another scientist looms large in the background, and I'm sorry! While I do *technically* exist at all points in my personal timeline simultaneously I need to go through them in a roughly linear fashion or things can get difficult for everyone, which means I can't always answer my own questions. I don't like it anymore than you, and I certainly don't like giving him more things to worry about!

Meetings with the Second Chance Society are held, and it turns out they may not be as altruistic as once thought by certain members of the Trendsetters. Words are hashed out with the Silver Skeleton, and some surprising points are made. A date is had, and it's barely awkward. A talk is had with Penny, and some specifics are cleared up. A heist is attempted, and a favor five years in the making is called in.

At longest last, the correction begins in earnest. A checklist is formed of Needs and Wants and the first two items are sighted: the establishment of presence, and the eradication of impermissable evil. Our three take up swords once again after not enough time away from enacting violence, but for once none of them feel the least bit bad about it.

What do the Trendsetters, the Silver Skeleton, and Bradford Arlen have in common? An extremely dangerous foe that has been hitting DHEA facilities country-wide. When Old Megalad talks to Robin about his capabilities and the dangers that come with it, they put two and two together and realize that Xerox is one of the most dangerous people on the planet and they need to be stopped, now. One emergency meeting later, everyone is on the hunt for Megalad's arm, Xerox's identity, and the power-copier themselves.

The end of an era, and for our three it is both too long and not nearly long enough. The star falls from the sky and crashes to unforgiving earth, and its cracks are patched by the angel, the engineer, the mage, and those who've watched it break too many times already. And then by dint of a particular kind of quiet migration recurs, though none of us will be there to see where the pack settles next.
The goodbyes are one of the few times I actively stop watching, they always feel like something not meant for me. I wind up having to see them during Integration, but, I dunno, it's different when it's live.

Poltergeist goes on a business trip to take care of important things before she meets up with Kevin, leaving Zero, Sundog, and Switch to their own devices for a while. Switch goes to do some training with Calvert, Sundog goes to lunch with his dad, and Zero calls a meeting to discuss his findings about Leonard Wright. Just as those end, however, a portal opens, and an old foe returns.
