Vampire the Masquerade 5e: Sympathy For the Devil Session 3 - Doom and Gloom
Monday Jan 25, 2021
Monday Jan 25, 2021
With a lead, the coetrie decides to split up to cover some ground. Johnathan goes to talk to Yvonne Long, the Brujah Primogen, in order to set up a meeting with Chicago's mayor. Meanwhile, Salem goes to talk to a group of Anarchs to close some possible leads and get a bit of blood that they need. Finally, Cor breaks into a house and very deftly finds some copies of evidence that they need. Afterwards they talk to Rahm Emmanuel, and learn something that is going to shake the very foundations of Chicago's vampire power structure to its core. CONTENT WARNING: We are playing Vampire: The Masquerade. VtM only half-romanticizes vampires, and a large portion of the game is about exploring just how much of a monster you're willing to become. Since this game deals with heavier issues than most games we tend to play on this podcast, I am issuing content warning for the following subjects: Blood, violence, body horror, abuse of all forms, issues of consent, torture If you feel uncomfortable to listening to any of these subjects, please tread lightly, and we won't blame you for skipping this campaign if you do. Despite a scortched Earth policy, Johnathan saved one of the Thinbloods, a former meth cooker by the name of Luke. Luke leads them to a nightclub converted from a Church where the coetrie tries to find out who was ordering them to break masquerade. There they run into a Toreador by the name of Father Singleton, and they work to get closer to the bottom of the mystery. CONTENT WARNING: We are playing Vampire: The Masquerade. When night falls, they wake up. They call themselves all sorts of fancy names: Kindred, the Apex Predator of the World, but they're most commonly known as vampires. We follow three such creatures, dead for a decade or more, in the city of Chicago where the Camarilla rule with an iron fist. They meet each other formally, have a talk with their leadership, and pull a mission with one of the most unsavory of their kind. Welcome to Vampire: The Masquerade - Sympathy For the Devil. CONTENT WARNING: We are playing Vampire: The Masquerade. VtM only half-romanticizes vampires, and a large portion of the game is about exploring just how much of a monster you're willing to become. We're playing vampire! Be careful, this one's a fuckin' doozy. Lots of very bad things going on, the content warning will explain it all. This time, Ape, Chloe, and Cat all explain their various vampire characters, we explain some basics of the setting, and we get some good stuff going for a game about what it means when you suddenly and violently become a monster. CONTENT WARNING: We are playing Vampire: The Masquerade. VtM only half-romanticizes vampires, and a large portion of the game is about exploring just how much of a monster you're willing to become.
