Damn this swamp, damn these bugs, and damn the humidity. Haven't these people heard of air conditioning? First I haven't had a good drink in days, next this. At least my team agreed on a good leader for this rebellion, though her showmanship is lacking a bit. Also met a kid. He seems nice, but a bit too tired. Something about a lack of sleep? I get it, I used to just *die* if I didn't get my 10 hours in my sensory deprivation pod. Anyway, time to go show them all what ol' Gameshow is capable of. I'm sure it'll go just as smooth as last time. Ta-ta!

With Xerox handled, the fallout settled, and the dust cleared, it's time for the Trendsetters to work with the Coyote Pack to bring the Blue Bandit out... though they won't have to wait long. It turns out the former Coyoteman hopeful has plans of his own, and in order to get away with kidnapping the mayor of Deco City with 5 extra supers in his city, he's planted explosives all over the city.

It'd be absurd if I wasn't standing in the belly of it, if I hadn't sat in a mech the likes of which would only be piloted by the members of the Harmonic Choir. I don't know how they expect to win. I don't know how they expect me, of all people, to be a part of this.

With Xerox taken care of, several things have to be taken care of. Switch makes sure they keep a promise to Coyoteman before gathering the team to discuss what they did. Tensions run a bit high in the aftermath, particularly with Megalad the Younger. After a bit of a shakeup, talkdown, and rest, a half-expected visitor comes to make them a deal. One thing's for sure... things are going to change.

And, finally, we follow all three, the Cell, the Selected, separate but together. We cast our eyes forward to Revelation Day, its events and immediate aftermath. Further forward to the impending doom of the organization that brought them all together, and to the (by some accounts, suboptimal) prevention of that doom. The question of a second integration is answered, and likewise a public naming. We gaze, briefly, on the Traitor, the Inheritor, and the First Son. And then we settle our gaze on the story's terminus: the narrative eve of the Bleeding of the City, we find them where they are, and then we shut our eyes.
The book's epilogue closes, and likewise the book itself. Naught for me to do now but pick up the next one. I love you all. Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye.
[And to step out of Greta's skin for the final time: thank you, all of you, for joining me on this journey. This was my first time in the DM's chair and it was altogether so much more than I ever anticipated. Every one of you who found this worth listening to is precious to me. The birth of a mistake undone, the first steps of relocation and establishment of a trade, investigations into solving an ancient secret. Then, a long-avoided conversation, and then another (though the avoidance here is by another's hand), and then a threefold reorientation. The shade of a tree planted long ago is rediscovered in a sister's company, a thorny bargain is reached. A resting machine is called to action to mend a wound holding a sea hostage and six nomads are freed to wander no more. And then, finally, a visit from a flame left to linger in embers, a night of sputtered enkindling, a pair of seconds secured, and a settling in with eyes to a future most disasterous.
