Five years is a long time to just drop off the face of the Earth, so we do you a favor and do a bit of a montage of things that happen during then! Lots of big things happen. A change in leadership. A change in friendship. A change in... name. That's right, #Trending are now officially the Trendsetters, Better Than Ethan are now officially the Riot Wreckers, and everybody in the city is a bit more happy that two groups of superteens grew up a bit. On top of everything else, the city finds a new shining idol in Zero, grows to change what heroes and villains could be thanks to Switch, find a new vlog superstar in Sundog, and wonders where the hell the fourth one went in Poltergeist.

Ape, Bobbin, Cat, and Chloe roll up familiar characters in this new system. FATE Core is a system developed by the folks at EvilHat (who brought us Monster of the Week as well) which easily slots into any setting or genre and uses a simple system of rolling 4 dice to apply bonuses and penalties to your skills. We go into the rules of the game, as well as things in Halcyon City that change during the big 5 year time jump!

This is it. The Fennec has been found and now the Coetrie is going to deal with their new personal foe for good. They have supernatural powers, but he has training. They have incredible strength and reflexes, but he has an arsenal of weapons. They have a plan, but he has the homefield advantage. Who will win, and will they be the same coming out as they did going in?
CONTENT WARNING: We are playing Vampire: The Masquerade. VtM only half-romanticizes vampires, and a large portion of the game is about exploring just how much of a monster you're willing to become. Two hundred and eighty and one hundred and fourty and twelve meet their ends before swords are first uncrossed. Sixteen and one and two remain to contend with three and two and One, and None have yet bled needfully.
This part always makes me nervous, no matter how many times I watch it. But I believe in them. Do you?

The civil war among the Camarilla is almost at a head, and the new Anarch Coetrie is eager to see it kick off. They learn many details about the new Primogen that are filling the ranks of Montinero's side, while having to meet with the prospective Prince Ward to convince him to attack before he is ready. Soon, everything will finish, and hopefully it won't come to bite Johnathan, Cor, and Salem in the ass.

The chosen three are called to action days in advance of their deadline so as not to tempt fate. They break to tie up a few loose ends and say some final goodbyes and, as ready as they can be, rejoin their greater numbers to commiserate and plan. Unfortunately, their mortal foe would rather this all resolve without raising their sword, and so instead brings down the hammer.
I'm so excited for Chapter Five; even after ten million iterations, it never gets old.
